SELF-HARM TRAINING

Self-harm presents a growing area of concern for many service providers. Yet staff can often feel unsure about how to respond helpfully to this complex issue.

Recent guidelines and reports coming from, for example, the Royal College of Psychiatrists (2010), Home Office (2007) and Royal College of Nursing (2009), recommend that all staff working with clients who self-harm should access self-harm training.

Drawing from our unrivalled expertise on this issue, harm-ed offer a wide range of courses focussing on self-harm and different client groups. This also includes our acclaimed 'Harm-minimisation for self-harm' training package.

We offer a wide range of "self-harm" training courses specific to different client groups and service settings. For prices click here	REFRESHER  COURSE Knowledge and practice around self-harm is constantly developing. We recommend that participants who have previously attended our training are given the opportunity to update their knowledge by attending a half-day in-house refresher course. This will also give participants a structured space to discuss any concerns, challenges or points of practice related to the issue.
