MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS TRAINING

Suitable for staff working in any role who wish to acquire a basic understanding of mental health and how to respond to someone who is experiencing mental distress. This course is also suitable for informal carers including family and friends.

We also offer a more advanced course suitable for staff who wish to develop a more in-depth understanding of the issues that are relevant to their service and its client group.

All of our courses draw on current research, models of practice and professional and academic knowledge. However, harm-ed training also incorporates the invaluable expertise that comes from the personal experiences of all our trainers.

We deliver our courses in a wide range of formats - please see below. If you can't see the training course you are looking for, contact us and we will work with you to develop the right training package for your service.

REFRESHER  COURSE

Knowledge and practice around mental health is constantly evolving and developing. We recommend that participants who have previously attended our training are given the opportunity to update their knowledge by attending a half-day in-house refresher course. This will also give participants a structured space to discuss any concerns, challenges or points of practice related to mental health.
